AI & Consent
AI this capable comes with responsibility. Here's how ReelMy uses your content, and why consent is built in — not bolted on.
// plain-language summary at the top of each section · we don't hide the important parts
How ReelMy uses your content
ReelMy processes the media and prompts you give it to do exactly what you ask — cut, caption, dub, grade, reframe, or score your video. Processing is scoped to fulfilling your request and is non-destructive: every AI action is a reversible step on your timeline, and your source files are never altered.
Voice cloning is consent-first
Cloning a voice is powerful and easy to abuse, so we gate it behind verified, revocable consent. ReelMy will refuse to clone a voice without it.
- You must confirm you have the right to use a voice before a clone can be created.
- Consent can be withdrawn at any time; withdrawing deletes the associated voice model.
- Voice models are tied to your account and are never shared or reused across customers.
Likeness & face
The same principle applies to faces and likeness. Features that generate or alter a person's appearance require that you have the rights and consent to do so. Using ReelM to fabricate a real person's words or actions without consent is prohibited under our Terms.
We don't train on your content by default
Your private projects and media are not used to train our models. If we ever offer a program where you can opt in to contribute content to improve models, it will be strictly opt-in, clearly explained, and revocable — never the default.
AI outputs & ownership
Subject to our Terms, you own the outputs you create with ReelMy. Music generated by AI Soundtrack is royalty-free and cleared for commercial use. You're responsible for ensuring your final video complies with the law and any third-party rights.
Accuracy & human oversight
AI can make mistakes — a mis-heard caption, an off-beat cut, an imperfect translation. ReelMy is designed to keep you in the loop:
- Every action appears as an editable, reversible step — nothing is a black box.
- You choose the autonomy level, from suggest-only to full autopilot.
- Review outputs before publishing. You are the final editor.
Prohibited uses
You may not use ReelM's AI to:
- Impersonate real people or create deceptive deepfakes.
- Clone a voice or likeness without documented consent.
- Generate content that harasses, defrauds, or endangers others, or that is illegal.
- Produce misinformation designed to deceive about real events or people.
Reporting & takedown
If you believe content made with ReelM violates your rights or these rules, report it to trust@reelm.tech. We review reports promptly and act on violations, including removing content and suspending accounts.
Your controls
- Manage or revoke voice consents from your account settings.
- Set ReelMy's autonomy level per project.
- Delete AI-generated assets and the inputs that produced them at any time.
