Media, Audio & Stock
A real folder on disk, seven stock sources, and 32 built-in SFX
ReelM doesn't hide your media in a database. Each project is a directory with an assets folder — drop files in from Finder and they appear in the panel. Rename one inside the app and every clip that used it follows.

[How it works]
Media, Audio & Stock in three moves
Bring your own, or search
Import from disk, or search stock photos, video, GIFs, and audio without leaving the app.
Organise in real folders
Nested folders that exist on disk. Move an asset and ReelM relinks every clip pointing at it, then tells you which ones changed.
Mix it
Volume to 200%, frame-accurate fades, source offset, loop, and playback speed from 0.25× to 2× — with volume and rate keyframeable.
[Under the hood]
Built to be used, not just demoed
The details that separate a party trick from a tool you reach for daily.
Delete guard
Deleting an asset still used by clips is refused, and ReelM tells you exactly which items reference it.
Waveforms that don't stall
Audio is decoded to 512 normalised peaks and cached, with a hard decode ceiling so a long file never freezes the timeline.
Quality tiers & proxies
Five video tiers from 480p to 2160p and five image tiers. Preview can use a proxy; the render always takes the best available.
Stock keys stay server-side
All stock search is proxied through ReelM's backend — no provider API keys are ever shipped inside the app bundle.
Audio that survives a busy mix
A concurrency solver sizes the preview's audio pool to your project, so a music bed plus a stack of SFX doesn't break playback.
32 SFX, zero probing
Built-in transition, UI, impact, and meme sounds with exact durations baked in — they land on the timeline at the right length instantly.

[ReelMy · agent surface]
Ask for it instead of clicking it
ReelMy searches and downloads stock into your assets folder, then places it — and stock search keeps working even when the desktop app is offline, because the relay answers it.
