Projects, Templates & Design System
Local-first projects, five structural templates, one locked look
A design system is why a ReelM video looks designed rather than assembled. Pin a palette, a font pairing, a type scale, a spacing grid, and motion defaults to the project — and every new element, whether you add it or the agent does, inherits them.

[How it works]
Projects, Templates & Design System in three moves
Start from structure
Five templates carry beats — frame-accurate pacing with a stated reason for each length — and typed slots you fill with your own content.
Pin the look
One palette, one font pairing, one type scale, one spacing unit, one set of motion defaults. Everything downstream follows them.
Work without thinking about saving
Autosave fires two seconds after the project goes quiet, fingerprinting only what's persisted so playback never triggers a write.
[Under the hood]
Built to be used, not just demoed
The details that separate a party trick from a tool you reach for daily.
Templates with intent
Each beat declares why it's that long. A hook isn't 'about two seconds' — it's a stated duration with a reason attached.
Design system, enforced
Palette, display and body fonts, a five-step type scale, a spacing unit, and in/out/easing motion defaults, applied project-wide.
Checkpoints
Full project snapshots, ten deep, that you or the agent can restore — and restoring is itself an undoable step.
Account-scoped storage
Projects are filed under your organisation and user, so signing into another account swaps the whole workspace cleanly.
Validated and versioned
Every project file is schema-validated on load and passed through a migration chain, so an older project opens without surprises.
Portable
Export a project to a single file and import it elsewhere — the whole structure travels with it.

[ReelMy · agent surface]
Ask for it instead of clicking it
The design system exists partly for ReelMy: an agent has no memory between turns, so pinning the look to the project is what stops scene four from disagreeing with scene one.

Projects, Templates & Design System, answered
On your machine, in a per-project folder under your app data directory. Nothing about a project is uploaded to edit it.
Not yet — projects are local-first today. Cloud backup and cross-device sync are on the roadmap.
Project files carry a schema version and pass through a migration chain on load, so older projects keep opening.
